It's an old posting from the BBC but I've only just found it. After reading it I needed a good cup of tea whilst harbouring thoughts of becoming veggie again despite what my doctor thinks...
Um...I realize that everyone has different tastes...but after reading that article I'm glad I'm not eating any meat today...I don't think I could stomach it. :)

I'm gagging.......worse than when I took the Fleet salty prep for my colonoscopy.
I think that doctors who are not vegetarian themselves frequently latch onto vegetarianism in people who are, as one of the stock repsonses to anything they can't diagnose and deal with pharmaceutically.
Fortunately, I think the evidence is not in their favour.

funny you should say about the whole veggi thing. i hardly ever read books, but whilst on holiday my friend gave me an extract from a book called 'skinny bitch' that she'd been reading. Basically its written by two body beautiful types who shout at you for not looking and feeling as great as they do!
but this chapter was awful it was all on about meat and how bad it is for you, then it had accounts in from people who work in slaughter houses saying the horrible things that go on there. anyway the result of this was me blartin on the beach with the decision not to eat meat any more, although i am i bit of a cheat at the mo cuz i'm still eating fish! which the book also tells you off for!
must be a miserable life being a skinny bitch though to be honest!
