...but painfully slowly.
This is the almost completed back of Moor from Rowan's Yorkshire Fable.

It's a beautiful design that I'm doing in earth tones using Rowanspun 4ply 100 percent wool. Himself loves these kinds of colours and he chose a good, well blended mixture. Here's a close up;

Knit on size 2.5mm needles to get the correct gauge (I'm a loose knitter!) it's going to take me an excruciatingly long time to knit it. However, Himself says he doesn't mind waiting. It was supposed to be for this winter but at this slow pace I can't guarantee it'll be finished for *next* winter!
Ozy: I tend to knit quite loosely and invariably have to go down a needle size. With this being fairisle and having to loop the threads on the back of the work, my tension is even more loose. I generally don't knit fairisle as I feel all fingers and thumbs doing it but it *is* a very nice design. However, he's going to have to make the most of it as I doubt I'll be knitting it again!
Wow!
That is absolutely gorgeous, I've always wished I could do stuff like that. Wow.. Just wow!
Hi! I came by to say thanks for visiting the Warbles and you are now officially linked back. I love what you've got here, I'm going to explore some more.
Stunning! You make me wish I knit and had talent :-) That one will be worth the wait. I admire your patience!
Mmmm Uh Huh, yes, yes of course I'm listening, he he you said Fairisle, Mmmm, very pretty, whats on channel 2 then?
Not that watching my grandma/mother/aunts knit was all I had to watch when I was a kid or anything.
Oh and the kneedles were in inch sizes back then, I still have one or two I cut up and used for tuning drivers for TV sets adjustments back in the days of B and W. Coro street had a nasty habit of rolling in the Horizontal when ever Albert Tatlock came on I think it was the stripey shirt he used to wear.
Having watch your work through the last couple years...
I envy you, but you are doing so beautifully!
HOLY COW BATMAN!!! That is a very lovely sweater.
It is lovely knitting, tiny needles though! I may have to do that too on a fair isle jumper that I want to knit.
You are such a professional. Who taught you to knit?
2.5 mm? Wow, that's patience! It looks beautiful. I'm sure he'll look great in it!
