My son has been in America these past 10 days with friends. Only it's gone to pot and he's desperate to get home. His flight leaves in two days and I'm constantly on msn talking to him to make sure he's ok.
I'm worried sick and I have a permanent headache.
He may be all grown up but to me he's still my boy. No body told me that when you become a mother you continue worrying about them into adulthood.
I should have guessed really, eh?
*sigh*
It never never ends, this 'parent' thing!
Sending you all my happy thoughts and hope he gets home safe and well soon :)

Mal :)
Even a bad experience is an expereince. He'll probably learn a lot in the next 2 days that he wouldn't have even known existed if everything had gone well. I'm sure he'll be laughing about the whole thing soon enough.
I hope he is alright. Where was he at in America? What happened? I know I cannot stand to be in American cities very much. I usually cannot wait to get back to the country. I do miss European cities tho. There was always something groovy going on.
I think the worries continue no matter how old they are. Hope the rest of the trip can be better but like Ozymandia said, It will still be an experience and hopefully one day he can laugh about it, but it will be nice for "Mom" to have him back home. *winks*
I'm nearly thirty and my mother still reaches out and puts her hand across my chest if the car stops suddenly.
I suppose that's just the nature of things.
I hope he arrives home safely. When he gets back, you will have to tell us where he visited!

I am taken aback!
You have two grown daughters and you are just now realizing this?
Gasp!
LOL!
No body told me either...
Ah yes, the joys of motherhood. You never stop worrying.... my oldest two (both sons) are 28 & 26. I still worry that they are well and happy and fret when I know they are not.
He'll be home soon Mum, and happy that you were "there" for him, even if it was "electronically".
